Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

Birthday Card

I really like this card and hope yall do too! The Very Vanilla card stock was sponged with Distress Inks, Antique Linen and Tea Dye. I made my flower using a nestabilities die and a small brad, the leaves are by Gina K Designs; the swirl stamp is See D's and the birthday sentiment is by Creative Clear Stamps. After stamping, the sentiment was cut out using Ribbon Tags Trio. A little ribbon and some pearls finished off this card and I was happy!
I'll be entering it in the following challenges:
Case Study Challenge #27 (card to be CASEd shown at right)
The Play Date Cafe Challenge #69 (black, red and green)
MelJens Blog Challenge to use a birthday sentiment
FabNFunky Challenge to create our own embellishment (flower)
Truly Scrumptious Challenge to use swirls and pearls
Hope you enjoyed your time here and can come back again!

A very pretty card indeed, Betty! I love it, and have a new punch and stamps to build a flower from SU so this has given me a little inspiration for what I can try. Thanks GF!
