Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

Elegant Reindeer

I am so excited to show this card to you guys today! I love diagonals so when I saw the sketches for the Midnight Madness challenge I was like a kid in a candy store!

The colors (ivory, black and one accent color) came from Carla's color challenge at stampTV and they really add the elegant effect.
I used Cuttlebug's candy cane stripes embossing folder on the panels to add even more diagonal dimension. The stamp is from Layers of Love, Reindeer Waltz -- this set has the most beautiful reindeer images -- see them here. I heat embossed the reindeer in black on this glossy ivory cardstock and he is so very shiny! Added a little poinsettia embellie and it's done!

Enjoy your day,
Betty
