Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

April Card Class

These two lovely young women were my card class today. Sacha is on the left and Marlene is on the right. I met Sacha through the Monday Market and invited her to the card class and she not only came, she brought her friend too. I so enjoyed their enthusiasm, their excitement as they made their cards, and their love of color! I'm going to have to get them to come to my house one of these days so we'll have longer to play with all the toys -- I know Sacha wants to get her hands on the Big Shot and the embossing folders and die cuts!!

Here's the card that I made to take as an example for the class....

The stamp is from a set called Encouragement by Layers of Color and the corner punch is by Martha Stewart.

Hope you all experience a joyful Resurrection Sunday tomorrow!
