Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

Cards for Monday Market

I really had a productive card making day yesterday! I refurbished ten cards that I had made long ago and they are now ready to be taken to the next Monday Market; I also made the two new cards shown above. I really like the striped paper on the first card; the stamps on both cards are from Stampin' Up; the dragonfly was printed out and fussy cut and will be a perfect masculine birthday card. Now all I need is for customers to come along and purchase them!!

Here's a pic of some of the refurbished cards. All I really had to do was change a sentiment, add an embellishment or spruce up the insides a bit.

Enjoy your day,
Betty

Oh, I know they will sell quickly! I think that a handmade card is the gift that keeps on giving. I refurbish mine and send them to special people in my life so that they can get months of enjoyment from them also. I have to admit, there are a few I just can not touch, and keep them standing for inspiration. Best of luck with Market sales.

What lovely cards! I love that you can "refurbish" some older ones and make them fresh again! I hope you do well!

These cards are lovely.
Refurbishing ? is that the same as recycling? Sorry to be so dense. lol

Oh Betty, how remarkable are these! What beauties! I'm curious about the cards - like ones you made and decided to redo or ones that are sent? If so, I can send you some from swaps I was in, etc ... I donate some of them anyway and would be happy to help your cause :) Blessings, sweet friend! x0x0

Great idea Betty!!!. I should do the same with the old ones I made. My style changed and I could refurbish them a little bit. Great cards!!!

Betty,
Yep, refurbishing is the way to go. I know some of mine could use redoing. Love yours and good luck at the market.
