Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

Christmas Plaid

I missed making my Christmas card for Merry Monday last week so wanted to get it done this week! This card combines two challenges. The sketch, of course, is from Merry Monday.....

The color combination is from Twisted Tuesday -- Green, Pink and Red. The twist to this challenge is that we also need to use 3 brads and 1 ribbon. This is a new challenge site belonging to Melina Pylant. Come on over and join us -- just click on the link!

There's no stamping on the outside of my card. I let the designer paper from Papermania Classic Christmas do all the talking. I did follow the sketch -- it's hard to see the three panels of plaid but there is a little strip of white between each of them!! And for the twist, my three red brads are on the one red ribbon.

Hope you all have a wonderful day, filled with joy and blessings!
Betty
