Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

A Birthday Flourish

My monochromatic card was made for the challenge at Joan's Gardens. Actually, the challenge has nothing to do with being monochromatic, that's just how the card turned out!! The challenge is.......
   Use designer paper for background
   Use a dimensional flower
   Use a flourish
   Use a sentiment
I think I got it all covered. My background paper is colored very subtly and I embossed it with Cuttlebug's Kassie's Brocade folder after stamping the flourish. My flourish is from a See D's set and the sentiment is from Gina K. Designs. I had a paper flower in my stash and I added the small crocheted flower to it, along with a center brad.

Oooh I love this card. Another idea for some crocheted doilies I discovered (you know where) lol.

Not in the mood for organizing---just necessary after I tore the whole room apart looking for the quilling supplies :)
