Headed Away for a Visit
The top two cards you have already seen -- the bottom two complete the order that I received from my friend at church.
I will be flying out tomorrow for a visit with my daughter and grandkids in the Houston area. Will be gone for two weeks and will most likely not be posting or checking in on your blogs as often as usual. I haven't seen the grandkids since last November and I bet they have grown about a foot!! Can't wait to see them.
Don't forget me -- I'll be back in a couple of weeks!

Another Father's Day Card
Here's the card that I promised you yesterday. Same materials, different layout. The sketch comes from Card Positioning Systems #264.
You guys must have been praying for my Monday Market sales -- I had the best day today ever! Hope House has a web site if you would like to see a little bit more about the boys we are raising money for -- check out www.HopeHouseMX.org

A Father's Day Card
This is my offering for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches #33. Here is the sketch that I used for the layout of my card....
I made this card for a friend at church and the inspiration for the card came from scripture -- chapter one of Psalms speaks of a righteous man who is "like a tree firmly planted by streams of water. Which yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers." Fathers need both the righteousness of the Lord and the wisdom of the Lord as they raise their families to love and follow God.
Papers are from a pack by My Minds Eye, stamp is from Stampin' Up and I used a Cuttlebug Branches embossing folder to emboss the rusty colored panel from SU and a Spellbinders die to cut out the name which was computer generated.
Will be back tomorrow with another one that will look similar because it's made with the same materials -- just a different layout!

A Winner!
I won the blog candy at the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog this week!! I am so excited -- take a look at the cute little critters that are going to be coming to live with me!!
They have a new prize offering each week and I keep them on my sidebar. Just wanted to let you know that if I can win, you can too -- but not if you don't enter!!!
Had a wonderful morning with my stamping friends. We had three new stampers there today and I think that they all enjoyed the morning immensely! It's really a joy to introduce others to this entertaining hobby and it's really exciting when they want to come back again and create even more cards!

It's Been a 7 Card Day!
I have been a lazy, Lazy, LAZY stamper this week -- up until today, and since I had to get these made before Sunday, as the title of my post says, today was a 7 card day! There are 4 Mother's Day cards, one feminine birthday and two masculine birthdays. I told you that we had a very slow day at the Monday Market this week but then a friend asked me to make 9 cards for her; 5 of these are her cards and I need to make 4 more for Father's Day. This is sure helping out the fund for the Hope House boys!
I haven't posted since Tuesday and I know it's been at least two days (and maybe more like three) since I've been able to get around and check out all of your blogs. Tomorrow morning is our card making class and hopefully I'll get to visit your blogs tomorrow afternoon!
So long for now,
Betty

Steadfast Love of the LORD
1. Use Butterflies
2. Use some type of scallops or lattice
3. Use yellow or gold colors
4. Use patterned paper for your background.
I have used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, challenge #32. Here is their wonderful sketch.
I would also like to link up this card to Word Art Wednesday, a challenge site dedicated to encouraging, uplifting messages on cards. They give you a beautiful piece of word art to work each week with but you can also enter any card with scriptures or encouraging and uplifting words.
My card was made with the cover plate quatrefoil die by Papertrey Ink. I trimmed the cut piece since I didn't need it to cover the entire card. This wonderful scripture stamp came from Layers of Color, a stamp set called Encouragement. The butterflies are made with a Marvy punch and small yellow pearls.
For those of you who know that I sell my cards at a market on Mondays to raise funds for dental care for a boys home in a nearby village, it was a pretty slow day yesterday BUT I received an email this morning from a friend who wants me to make 9 cards for her so that really encouraged me! There are two new boys at the home and these two plus two more will be taken to the dentist on Friday.
Have a wonderful day everyone,
Betty
