Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

My First Easel Card

I have been saying that I would do it for a long time now -- make an easel card. I've admired all the ones my stamping buddies have made and now, thanks to City Crafter issuing the challenge, I have finally done it! The image is from Isabella's Sketchbook, where the challenge is make any kind of a project with one of her digi images. Don't have one?? Get a freebie by joining her group at PaperCraft Planet. Pretty pastel colors were used, as per Paper Play Challenges. There is an excellent tutorial on Splitcoaststampers for the Easel Card and it is not at all difficult to make. Give it a try if you haven't yet (however, I may have been the only holdout!!)

Till next time, Betty

For a first, you sure knocked it out of the park. I just made my first easel card not too long ago and they are sooo easy aren't they? Your colours are lovely and how clever using the punched border to stop the card. Thanks for sharing it at Isabella's Sketchbook and please play with us again.
Hugs!
Cec

Sweet card! You did a fab job on the easel card. Funny how we sometimes don't do things until we are challenged to do so. :)
