Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

Hello!

Linda Payne has challenged us to heat emboss with color at stampTV for the Blast From the Past Challenge. I have used two different colors of embossing powder, Pearluster Amethyst and Lavender. Card stock colors are Pretty in Pink (base), Whisper White (Swiss Dots dry embossed), Lavender Lace, and Elegant Eggplant. Sentiment stamped in Elegant Eggplant with See D's stamp set Say It Again and Again (however, I only said it once -- hello, that is!). The embossed images are from Stampabilities Botanicals & Birds. Four tiny purple rhinestones in the corner add a little more sparkle. Speaking of sparkle, the heat embossing is very shiny and the following picture shows a bit of the shine on both of the images.
Gina K. Designs is having their new stamps release tonight at stampTV; check them out -- there's a Christmas in July set that I'm interested in!
