Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

All Creatures Great and Small

My husband and I love James Herriot's books so the title of challenge 35 at Phindy's Place caught my eye immediately. We are to use animals on our projects and I knew I wanted to use this stamp because it has two creatures, both great and small! I used all Stampin' Up cardstock (some of it may be retired) and used colored pencils for the image. The inside sentiment reads "So good to see you again!" Hope my card made you smile and maybe you'd like to come play with us! (I apologize for the poor photo -- it looked better on my computer before I uploaded it!)

Betty, I have to be honest, I am not a huge reader but I did read every one of those books! I felt like I went on every one of his house calls! This is just adorable, and I amso glad to see you doing projects!

Well this was just perfect for that challenge. I often miss some of the details. Disappointing when you think you got it. A couple of weeks ago I purposefully designed a card with a ticket it on it, knowing I had seen that challenge. When I went back through the challenges to link it, I couldn't find it anywhere. I got a little chilly the last day or so! I hope you are stayin' warm! hugs, Melisa
