Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

Phindy's Friday Challenge

Oopsie!!! I messed up with my entry for Phindy's Friday Challenge. Anne very graciously let me know that I was supposed to have used one of Phindy's digi images rather than a stamp. I was just so excited to see the theme of "All Creatures Great and Small" and didn't read the fine print! So, here I am again with a sweet little bear; this is a portion of one of Phindy's images. My printer ink is the worst about smudging when blending colored pencils. So I had to cut off a badly smudged piece of the image! But what's left is just precious, don't you think?????

Blimey that was quick Betty, what a lovely card! I like the image cut down and what a great way to solve a problem. I went to a workshop last year where we were told not to throw away mistakes. The teacher said to always cut out a circle or shape somewhere and it can be better than the card you had planned.
Beautiful soft warm colours, thanks so much for joining in at Phindys Place after your false start!

This is so sweet. I am tired of winter already (and it isn't even officially here yet) so the floral paper and the flowers make me feel so happy. Thanks for joining us at Phindy's Place.
Hugs!

Oh what a sweet card! I am sorry that I have not been by lately. Work has been taking all for me free time. I am so happy to see you back sharing your lovely creations. Sorry Betty that it didn't work out so well for you in Mexico.

She is adorable Betty!! And that DP is just perfect for the image! I hope you are having a blessed Sunday. We visited a new church this morning. A little "different". We will not be going back to that one. I have never been to a Baptist church that didn't give an invitation at the end. And my daughter noted that one of the programs that they offered in the Youth section was one that seemed to be linked to Calvinism. Very surprising since the sign said it was a Baptist Church. I really enjoyed our visit the other day!
Stay warm,
Melisa!
