Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

Feel Better Flowers

Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #153 has the layout that I have followed in creating this card. I changed it some as you can see from the sketch ...

I merged some of the squares and elongated the others. My stamps are from Gina K. Designs (the ladybugs) and Layers of Color (sentiment). The flower is unknown although I think it may have come from the $1 bin at Michael's.

At Crafty Contagion, the stamping together divas are making green cards; that is, they are using the color green. I'm hoping this card has enough green to qualify -- after all, there are the mats, the flower stems, the banner and the pearls -- they're all green! Of course, the ladybugs had to be red -- they would have looked a little strange if they were green!!!
