Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

Front & Back Challenge

This is my card for the Flourishes Noon Time Friday Challenge. Here are the particulars:

To play in the “front” and “back” challenge, all you need to do is use the same image in the foreground for your main image as you use in the background! Have a beautiful focal image? Why not use that same stamp as a subtle background? The way you take on this challenge is up to you – just make sure you can see the same image in the foreground and background of your creation!

My card is made with the Flourishes set, Paperwhites. By using a Flourishes stamp, you will get two entries in this challenge. The focal image is colored with Koh-I-Noor pencils, blended with baby oil. Nestabilities dies were used to cut out the image and the sentiment. The image in the background was stamped with Momento London Fog.

Remember -- you have until Friday at 5pm, EST to enter both of the noon time challenges.

Betty, this is so pretty and what a fun challenge. It has been so long since I have played for fun, I believe I have forgotten how, maybe soon. Our daffodils are blooming and the trees are budding, hope spring is really here. Hope you are well.

My first daffy's popped open 2 days ago. I just love this time of year! What a great challenge, and sure did deliver. I have backed up and checked out all of the posts I have missed. DH has been under the weather and that has cramped my computer time. You have been creating up a storm!
