I didn't know if I would have a card to share today but I was able to get one made last night. Will tell you more about my day later....
The focal point of this card is from Word Art Wednesday #17; the sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches #24 and Repeat Impressions has a Spring Challenge to make a card with pastel colors -- I went with a monochromatic pink and white. For embellishments I have used pearls, satin ribbon, ribbon flowers with pearl centers and a Martha Stewart branch punch. Patterned papers are from Stampin' Up.
Larry and I prepared lunch yesterday for the ladies at the assisted living home where his mother lives. We had chicken gumbo, potato salad, tomato slices and french bread. We also had a couple of friends who played musical instruments (guitar and clarinet) for a short while before and during lunch. They played tunes like Sweet Georgia Brown, Take Me Out to the Ballgame, Ke Sera Sera, and others, finishing up with A Whiter Shade of Pale. A good time was had by all and there were blessings all around!
As the Word Art on my card says, hope you are all filled with joy because of Him!
Betty

Beautifully done, Betty! I am really liking pink this year! Will have to create with it more often. Love the flowers and branches, and that verse is so comforting. Wow, girl, sounds like you gave that group of ladies a wonderful afternoon! You and Larry blessed them incredibly! Thanks for sharing your card and your life :) Hugs...
