Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

Round Cards

The Flourishes noon time challenge for yesterday was to make a card with a round base. I made the Thank You card with the yellow flower (which is a Martha Stewart two step clear stamp) for the challenge but decided -- why stop with one???? The pink flower is also MS, the red flower is Gina K. Designs, and the bottom two are Stampin' Up. Sentiment stamps are GKD and SU. All have scalloped bases, and pretty little bows attached.

The cards are 3 3/4 inches, so I'll have to make envelopes to go with them. That may not be as fun as making the cards but I can live with it!!

I see that it's after 12:00 now; we haven't "sprung forward" in Mexico yet -- so I've got to go see what the challenge is for today. The deadline for these noon challenges is Friday, March 16, 5pm EST. The prize is the entire March New Releases -- come check it out!

edited to add: I totally forgot that I wanted to enter my cards in the For Fun Challenges -- Helen wants us to use circles!

Those are great and I agree while your making them make more! You made such a great variety they will be good to have on hand. When I do circle cards I make them so they will fit in a 5.5 x 5.5 envelope...maybe that will help you next time.

Thanks for playing "more then one circle challenge" at For Fun Challenges. Hope to see you tomorrow when our new challenge is posted.
