Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. I have a card today for the Flourishes Pre-Release Challenge. It is a color challenge -- shades of blue with yellow. I have used Flourishes' stamp set Sweet Days of Summer. Love those silhouettes! Used some of my favorite ribbon and one of those tags that I made the other day. I've never cut out a shaped piece of paper like this for the focal image but I really like the way it turned out. (Had to find a way to incorporate that cute little HB tag!) Deadline to enter is Friday, March 15th at 5 PM EST.

We had a fun Friday afternoon celebrating a friend's birthday. Played games at their house for a while and then went to one of our favorite restaurants for a delicious meal. Here's a picture of the happy group.

That's me in the right hand corner. We didn't know which way to look -- Sue was taking pictures from one end of the table while Larry was taking pictures from the other end!!! The birthday boy is in the panama hat and that's his visiting grandson at the far end of the table -- over six feet tall, size 15 shoe and only 14 years old!!

Such a sweet card. Of course, I love the blue and your ribbon is gorgeous. I have a small piece of gorgeous ribbon and now I have an idea what to do with it. :)
