Hope House Home for Boys

The cards that I sell here in Chapala and Ajijic, Mexico benefit the dental program for the boys at Hope House in the nearby village of Ixlahuacan. There are close to 30 boys at the home and many of them come to the home having received no dental treatment. If you live here at Lakeside and would like to order a quality, hand crafted card for a special occasion and help me contribute to this worthy cause, please e-mail me at bettyinchapala@yahoo.com Card price is 50 pesos; the entire sales price is donated to Hope House.

Christmas Snowman

Saw a  card at Jennie Harper's blog using the sketch from CPS Sketch 252. Here's the sketch and my card.

Would you believe that I was going to enter this card into two other challenges but when I reviewed them just now, I realized that I had gotten the details wrong on both of them! Our preacher said something yesterday about our memories not working really great all the time -- guess I just proved him right!

I used a Christmas paper pack with red, black, white and cream colors to cut out panels for the background. It's called Magic of the Season. The stamp is from Inkadinkado, Holiday Silhouettes. Used Nestabilities to cut out and mat the image. Also did some paper piercing on the three panels and the scallops around the image. A bit of lace to make it extra pretty and I have another Christmas card done!!

Betty,
This is an awesome card! I really love that image. I have to keep the challenge up on the computer while I'm doing the card so I don't forget anything. LOL

I do that also, Betty! I have the mind that reads, and the mind that reads and then makes up it's own rules. Only 10 months until you need this beauty!
